Hearse Fest

The body is a vessel that many of us decorate in a gothic style, especially this time of year. It is, after all, the season where townspeople raid Spirit and Halloween USA to empty their candy corn shelves onto their porches and party. At Hearse Fest, one of the largest gatherings of funeral car aficionados in the country, one thing is clear, death is coming for us all. When it shows up with its cold glare and hungry scythe, you might finally get to catch a ride. Gathering on the fairground of Fowlerville, hundreds of people confront the yawning specter of annihilation with a joke and a cold one. Here they are in all their spooky glory.
