Nicholas (Niki) Williams is an artist based in Detroit, Michigan, working primarily with cameras. His approach to documentary photography prizes enigmatic portraiture, and dramatically lit compositions on a wide range of subjects and narratives including social rituals, street photography, music, current events and politics.
He creates auteur music videos and has lent his craft to successful collaborations with popular Detroit acts such as Decliner and Summer Like the Season.
He works by day as the Multimedia Designer at the University of Michigan School of Social Work and also holds a BFA (2016) from the Stamps School of Art and Design, at the University of Michigan.
