Automatic Off Road

If you drive in Michigan,
you know the threat of the hole.

The weather is cold then warm then cold then warm then cold then warm and then…

Cold then warm again.

We build our streets like we build our cars,
in the spirit of planned obsolescence.

Once we struck oil, we sucked as much as we could out of the ground.

We built engines that drank distilled oil by the gallon to power automobiles that would ride on
the byproduct of the distillation process.

We tore up our cities with freeways,
built the suburbs and fled.

But we could not escape the hole.

Drive Slow.

Or better yet, walk and while you do
pray to end all wars.
