One Long Line

Over the weekend I went to the oldest state fair in the country, the Michigan State Fair, first held in Ann Arbor, in 1939.

I was there to make a video with my friends, Decliner, for their soon to drop single, Honky Tonk Boy.

If we were not there to film and play cowboy,
it would have totally sucked.

The fair was essentially one long never ending line.

First, You have the line of
cars to get to the parking lot.
(1 hour)

Next, the line to exchange
your ticket for a wrist band.
(1 hour)

Then, the line to get a $20, 12oz, Two Hearted.
(1 hour)

Followed by the line to the Ferris Wheel.
(1.5 hours)

Hungry? Stand in line to get a corndog.
(45 minutes)

Corndog secured.
It will be cold once you pass the line for ketchup. (15 minutes)

Got to pee?
Port-o-potty line is not too bad right now.
(45 minutes)

Pee behind the Ferris Wheel.
(5 Minutes)

I need another $20 beer.
(45 minutes)

Oh look, you can sit in a monster truck.
(1 hour)

I want to see the butter cow.
(1 hour)

I forgot to get a photo with the butter cow.
(1 hour)

Okay, wow, that was fun, time to leave.

File out of the fair, get a shuttle to your car, wait in line to drive it on the road.
(2 hours)
