Warm Gut Feeling

It happened to me.

I have been overcome by the darkness.

I regret to inform you, it will be two and a half months before I will feel the delight of happiness again.

If only there was a place where warmth and happiness flowed unburdened by the whims of weather.

Oh wait, there is!

It is called Juicy Kitchen and it is owned and operated by my friends Kelby and Aaron.

Visiting the café is an instant dopamine hit.

Did you know an eatery cannot; legally speaking, be considered a café, unless you offer daily specials which are hand written on a board?

I never order them.

There is an item which has my complete devotion created by the indelible Chef Octavio.

His masterpiece begins with a sizzling pan of local Tempeh and redskin potatoes, seasoned in a top secret chorizo spice blend.

A tortilla is grilled.

A form emerges.

It is bound by the delicate folds of space and time.

Grilled to perfection and paired with a simple salad, it is laid to rest in a compostable box.

The perfect Vegan Burrito*.

I go by my gut.

Which is now warm.

Raging against the dark and cold,
I know how to make it through winter.

One perfect burrito a week.
