Michael was staring directly into the sun with binoculars. Sungazing. Locking eyes with the burning star which provides energy for all earthly things.

He asked me if would believe he was blind.

I wonder if Shura is Diana’s mother. I forgot to ask.
Diana moved to Detroit when she was 11. She doesn’t miss Kentucky.

Shura screamed silently
and mouthed in a forgotten language.

Ariel sat with a group of friends.

When I approached,
I knew she was the “one”.

It turned out to be her 33rd birthday.

Tessa and Kiomar met in Southwest
and reminded me Detroit is South of Canada.

Ben told me that he was going to take me to Miami. He gave me an 8th of marijuana in exchange for my vow that I would not post

She told me she runs four lemonade stands,
she left in a flurry of cartwheels.

Jamar was their leader.

He vowed that all of his friends
would be in his care for forever.

These ladies told me the whole time
they were at Belle Isle they were thinking:
